MURPHY RITES HELD AT CHURCH
Burial at St. Patricks Cemetery, Dougherty

Solem Requiem Mass for Michael Murphy, 82, was held at the Holy Family Catholic Church Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock.
Father Joseph Murphy of St. Anthony, a nephew of the deceased, was celebrant of the mass, Father Richard Murphy, deacon and Father Alving Heuring
subdeacon.

Father Murphy delivered the sermon in which he said Mr. Murphy was "always a good Christian who fought a good fight and kept the faith."
Mr. Murphy was born in Manitowoc, Wis., Feb. 27, 1963. He moved to Dougherty and lived there until seventeen years ago when he retired and moved to Mason City. He died at his residence, 232 4th N.W. Friday after a short illness.

Surviving Mr Murphy are his wife and one son, F. E. Murphy of Cleveland, Ohio, two sisters, Mrs. Ed Donnelly, Mason City, and Miss Bridget Murphy, Dougherty. Three brothers, Pat of Mason City, Gene and George of Dougherty, also survive.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
The body was taken to Doughtery for burial at the St. Patrick;s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers
were all nephews, M. E. Hogan, Dougherty, William Kelley, Nora Springs, James Murphy, U.S.N. of Los Angles, Cal., Leo Donnelly, Mason City, Walter Murphy, Dougherty and Joe Donnelly,
Cleveland, Ohio.
Attending the services from out of the city were F.E. Murphy, Cleveland, Mrs Frank Hofner, Huron S.D., Mrs. E. R. McManus, Bresford, S. Dak., Leo Hogan, Chicago, Mrs Eugene Smith, Manitowoc, Wis., Mrs Gene Ploung of Minneaplois, Minn., Father Joseph Murphy, St. Anthony, James
