Raymond R. Myers January 26, 1951 - February 26, 2018

MASON CITY: Raymond R. Myers, 67, of Mason City, died Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Ray was born January 26, 1951 the son of Harvey and Nellie (Nichols) Myers in Estherville, Iowa. Ray moved to the Clear Lake and Mason City area where he was employed at numerous places including, working for local farmers and Tuttle Asphalt for several years before joining the staff at Good Shepherd Health Center in the maintenance department. He retired in 2013 after 20 years of service to Good Shepherd.

Ray loved to travel and looked forward to his vacations he planned. He enjoyed working on and tinkering on anything and everything that needed fixed. He was always helping others with their fix-it problems. Ray enjoyed his freedom with his scooter as he was known to ride it all over town. He loved his dogs and the time he spent walking them over the last few years.

Those thankful for having shared in Raymond's life include his significant other, Marlys O'Brien; son, Rob Myers; sisters, Rose Anne Hinderacker, Iris Deckard, Violet (Merle) Hultman; sisters in law, Sharon Myers, Iola Myers, Sherry Bohnsack, Cheryl (Ron) Dalluge; brother in law and sister in law, Daryl and Rhonda Pyle; step daughter, Cindi (Chad) Jeffrey; grandchildren, Blake, Madison and Bayleah Myers; step grandchildren, Zach and Kyler Jeffrey and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harvey, Oscar, Art and Roy Myers.
