William “Bill” Frank Weaver, 75, Rockwell, died Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
A funeral service for Bill will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the chapel.
Following the service, cremation will take place with inurnment to be held at a later date in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Rockwell.
William Frank Weaver was born on Jan. 21, 1942, in Rockford, the son of Harold and Ruth (Paulus) Weaver. He attended the Rockford Community School, and graduated from Rockwell High School.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Kafer and to this union two daughters were born, Michelle and Teri.
Bill was an over the road trucker for many years, working for Cash McMinimum, Van Wyk Co. and later for the Cartersville Elevator where he continued to drive truck until his retirement in 2016. Bill also drove truck on weekends for the U.S. Postal Service.
Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier years, traveling south to Texas to visit his granddaughters, and spending time with his other family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Michelle (Randy) Green of Liberty Hill, TX, and Teri Sands of Davenport; his grandchildren, Amber and Lindsey Green of Houston, TX, Brandon (Rose) Sands of Oceanside, CA, and McKenna Sands of Davenport; his great-granddaughter, Lennox Sands of Oceanside, CA; his siblings, James (Carol) Weaver of Rockwell, Gerold Weaver of Anchorage, AK, Elaine Dorris of Gardnerville, NV, Leon (Connie) Weaver of Rockwell, and Lorraine (John) Jones of Rockwell; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Weaver; brother-in-law, Mike Dorris; sister-in-law, Monica Weaver; and two nephews, Tommy Weaver, and Landon Dorris.
