William Roy Vician November 8, 1932 - January 16, 2018

William (Bill) Vician, 85, passed away January 16, 2018, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bill was born November 8, 1932, in Mason City to Stephen and Blanche Vician. He remained a Mason City resident until moving to Lincoln in 2012.

Bill graduated from Mason City High School in 1950. In 1951 he married the love of his life, Belva Wible. He was a devoted husband and loving father to 4 children: Dennis, Bonnie, Jacqueline, and Wanda. Bill was a lifelong loyal member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served the church in various capacities for 77+ years from Alter Boy to the Board of Deacons.

Bill was a Cerro Gordo County Deputy Sheriff for 24 years. During this time he also was a carpet installer, first for Tyler Ryan's Furniture and then for River City Carpet of which he was a co-owner.

Bill was a proud member of the Moose Lodge, receiving the highest honor of Pilgrim in 2001. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge for 44 years and the Masonic Temple. He was the Past President of the Parents Organization for Opportunity Village in Clear Lake and provided countless services to the Village residents whenever needed.

Bill is survived by his wife, Belva and daughters Bonnie, Jacqueline (Terry) Soli, Wanda (Mark) Tritch, and daughter-in-law Patricia: 4 grandchildren; David (April) Vician, Katie Tritch Lyons, Justin (Keri) Tritch, and Lindsay Soli Foster and 7 great-grandchildren; Calvin Vician, Braxton and Carter Lyons, Skyler and Londyn Tritch, and Jackson and Penelope Foster. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis and his parents.

A Celebration of Life in Mason City will be held at a later date to be announced. Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel is handling arrangements. A memorial has been established in his name and condolences and memorials may be sent to Belva at 7150 Holmes Park Road #115 Lincoln NE 68506.
