Rosella Carmody Mayo, age 88, formerly of Mason City, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was born on Dec. 15, 1925, in Mason City. She was the daughter of John and Josephine (Rogers) Carmody.

Rosella was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Rosella is survived by her children, Madelyn (Tony) Lullo of Niles, Ill., Joseph (Andrea) Mayo of Bartlett, Ill., and Patty Mayo-Katsion of Yorkville, Ill.; her grandchildren, Anthony Lullo, Nicholas (fiancée, Ania Kusior) Lullo, Joseph (Anna) Mayo, Robert (Gina) Mayo, Michael Coduti, Cristina (Jeffery Sattler) Coduti, and Claire Katsion; her great-grandchildren, Ash Sattler and Angelina Mayo; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine Carmody; her daughter, Leslie Coduti; four sisters, Zola, Kaye, Stella, and Thelma; and five brothers, Bobby, Roger, Lloyd, Buster, and Bud.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.
