Beth A. Sachen, 65, of Mason City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at her home in Mason City.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Ed Bard officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Beth Sachen memorial fund.

Beth was born July 9, 1951, to George and Beth (Bigelow) Stiefel, in New Hampton, IA. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in 1966, and graduated from Mason City High School in 1969.

She was united in marriage to Andy Decker in June of 1982. To this union came a daughter, Nicole Rodman. Later she was united in marriage to Michael “Mike” Sachen on July 3, 1992. Celebrating 23 years of Marriage before Michael passed away Feb. 3, 2016.

Beth liked to do needle point crafts, read James Patterson books, and spend time with her grandchildren.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Nicole Rodman of Mason City; two grandchildren, Ethan Rodman and Kaci Rodman, both of Mason City; a sisters-in-law, Judy Schade of Mason City and Annette Sachen of Mason City; her best friend, Mary (Bob) Hartwig of Mason City and many cousins and friends.

Beth is preceded in death by her husband Michael “Mike” Sachen, her parents, George and Beth Stiefel, and infant sister, and infant brother, her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandparents.
