Dixie Kraft, 75, of Mason City, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating.

Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the Dixie Kraft Memorial Fund.

Dixie Lee Ewers was born May 30, 1941, in Mason City, the daughter of Dexter and Virginia (Englet) Ewers. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1959.

Dixie married Chuck Kraft on April 2, 1977, in Mason City. The couple was married for 40 years.

She enjoyed camping, vacations, bingo and going to the casino. She was a very compassionate woman, a wonderful wife, mother and friend.

Dixie is survived by her husband, Chuck Kraft, Mason City; her children, Mark Ferry, Mason City, Timothy Ferry, Mason City, Shawn (Tim) Garcia, Hudson, WI, and Debbie (Larry) Lutton, Omaha, NE; adopted grandchildren, Rebecca Babbitt, Charles City, and Rochelle Kraft, Mason City; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Lisa) Ewers, Sheffield; her sisters-in-law, Marlys (Roger) Weiland and Darlene Ewers, Mason City; her dog, Sassy, as well as many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dexter and Virginia (Englet) Ewers, brother, Dexter Ewers Jr., three children, Linda Hanson, Chuck Kraft Jr., and Susan Austin, four grandchildren, Katie Ferry, Adam Ferry, Rachael Austin, and Garrett Joyner; a sister-in-law, Gwyla (Kraft) Fields.
