Betty A. Tickal, 67, of 1019 2nd St. N.E., died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 10 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, Mason City, with the Rev. Clifford Close, First Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Community Kitchen of North Iowa.
Betty was born May 17, 1935 in Mason City, the daughter of Howard and Dorothy (Tiedeman) Trevett. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1953 and was a life-long resident. She most recently managed and cooked at Bettyšs Cafeš in Mason City. She enjoyed cooking and feeding the patrons at her cafeš, bingo at the Elks and playing the organ.
She is survived by her children, Michael Tickal and his wife, Carmen, of Mason City, Trace Tickal, Des Moines, Patricia Tickal, Clear Lake, Rory Tickal, and his wife, Denise, of East Burlington, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Hohenfield of Mason City.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
