Chad A. VanDenHul, 47, of Mason City, died Wednesday (October 19, 2016) at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral Service OCT 22. 02:00 PM, Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third Street Northeast

Mason City, IA, US, 50401. He will be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA

Chad A. VanDenHul, the son of the late Max (Mike) VanDenHul and Sandra VanDenHul was born on May 26, 1969. He was raised in Thompson and baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Chad lived his teenage years in Colorado Springs, CO where he made many lifelong friends. He worked for Winnebago, and after moving back to the Mason City area, he worked at Woodharbor/TruStile.

Chad’s life revolved around his three girls and grandson Gaige. He loved the Denver Broncos, reading books, anything history, and music.

His devotion and love to his family provided strength and a strong will to live after suffering a series of massive strokes 20 months ago. Chad met his struggles head on and never once complained about the path that had been set before him.

Chad is survived by his daughters, Tawnee Lynn Johnson, Shania Lynn VandenHul, and Jaidyn Nichole Hagen; his grandson, Gaige Patrick Johnson; his mother, Sandra VanDenhul of Mason City; his siblings, Kim (Scott) Norstrud of Forest City, Staci (Ray) Stump of Mason City, and Michele (Lonnie) Hahle of Mason City; his sister-in-law, Tina VanDenHul of Oelwein as well as many nieces, nephews, and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Max (Mike) VanDenHul and his brother Todd VanDenHul; grandparents, Max and Florence Graff, Max and Nellie VanDenHul.
