Louis D. Ziesman, 79, of Clear Lake, died Monday, November 20, 2017, at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

Per Louis’ wishes, his body has been cremated and no services will be scheduled.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of North Iowa.

Louis was born on July 21, 1938, the son of Louis W. and Anna (Bahr) Ziesman in Eldora, IA. He married Mary Lou Tjarks in Eldora.

Louis graduated from Eldora High School. He worked as a carpet contractor and later worked for Mason City Tile and Marble.

Louis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora and the Eldora Jaycees prior to moving to Clear Lake. He enjoyed being on the water and boating.

Louis is survived by a son, Brian (Abby Bates) Ziesman of Mason City and ex-wife, Mary Lou Kirkdorffer of Eldora.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Viola Carr, Annie Marske, Art Ziesman and Harley Ziesman.
