Anna Marie (Omie) Eberhardt, 93, of Mason City, Iowa, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Good Shepherd Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Mark Lavrenz officiating. Burial was in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

The family of Anna Marie (Omie) Eberhardt has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church building fund or to Hospice of North Iowa in her memory.

Anna Marie (Omie) Eberhardt was born in a German settlement in Norka, Russia on June 12, 1910, the daughter of Phillip and Katherine (Nolda) Lofing. She came to America at the age of three with her mother and two brothers to join her father who had come one year earlier.

Omie was united in marriage to John A. Eberhardt on April 11, 1926, in Mason City. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1983.

Omie worked at Decker's Meat Packing Company in Mason City in the trimming Department and retired after 43 1/2 years of service.

She loved her church and was the last charter member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Her great love and joy in life was her grandchildren and having everyone together for family gatherings. She also enjoyed cooking German dishes for her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her son and daughter-in-law, John and Donna Eberhardt of Mason City; four grandchildren, Debbie (Tom) Lincoln of Clear Lake, Jo Ellen (Chuck) Younke, Marsha (Mark) Koerber and Bryan (Denise) Eberhardt all of Mason City; nine great-grandchildren, Travis and Josh Goslin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Zach and Beau Lincoln of Clear Lake, Dawn Roszell, Justin Younke, Ryan and Morgan Koerber, and Hannah Eberhardt all of Mason City, six great-great-grandchildren, Bria, Zane, Isaiah, Payton, Abby and Gabriel; as well as other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John in 1983, her brothers, Henry and Phillip Lofing, and an infant daughter, Ella
