Albert Edward Ewers died Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, IA. Albert was born March 18, 1923 in Mason City. He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1942 and was honorably discharged. On June 8, 1947 he was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Wagner. They had 3 children.

He is survived by his children Kae Ann Shannon, Mason City; Kelly Ewers, Osage; Karla (Blake) Quam, grandchildren Mason and Douglas Shannon, Kyle Sanford, Nicolas and Christopher Quam, all of Mason City; great grandchildren Jonathan Shannon and Tierra Keeney-Quam, brother Larry(Lauralee) Ewers, Mason City; and sister, Geraldine Jensen, Marble Rock; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, siblings Clarence, Dexter and Harold Ewers, Dulcie Plath, Fern Tanner, Elma Kellner and Bernice Hamond.

[Interment was made at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.
