MASON CITY -- Funeral services for Clarence J. Ersland, 71, of 1544 N. Washington, who died Saturday at a Mason City hospital, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Bernard O. Lokensgard, visitation pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Major-Erickson Funeral Home until noon Tuesday. The family requests memorials be sen to the Radio Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mr. Ersland was employed by Northwestern States Portland Cement Co. from 1940 until he retired in 1965. He was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Annie (Fleming); two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Coreen) Peckham, Mason City, and Mrs. Jerry (Carolyn) Van Every, Minneapolis, Minn.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. O.E. (Gladys) Vosburg, Mason City; and two brothers, John, Garner, and Gerhard, Mason City.
