Florence Virginia “Pat” Edwards, 104, of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

A Graveside Inurnment will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Clear Lake Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Evans officiating.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Clear Lake United Methodist Church, 508 Second Ave. N., Clear Lake, Iowa.

Pat was born Oct. 4, 1912, the daughter of Roy and Rose (Hall) French in Mason City. She married Lyle Edwards on Nov. 27, 1938, in Clear Lake.

A graduate of Clear Lake High School, Pat worked for the Clear Lake Telephone Co. for many years as well as working as a secretary for the Cerro Gordo County Engineer's Office. She was a member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors, and WaTanYe Club.

Pat is survived by a son, Gary L. (Mary) Edwards of Rogers, AR; five grandchildren, Greg (Suzanne) Edwards of Marion, IA, Sari Edwards of Lake Mills, Becky Edwards of Walters, MN, Katy (Justin) Moore of Springdale, AR, and Elizabeth (Steve) Powers of Springdale, AR; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine French of Clear Lake as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, and a brother.
