Alice Mae Toresdahl, 87 of Mason City, formerly of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St. Clear Lake, with Pastor Matthew Muters officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Alice Toresdahl Memorial Fund.

Alice was born June 12, 1929, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Hanson) Lovick in Winnebago County. She married Gordon Toresdahl on June 22, 1947, in Fertile. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1990.

Alice grew up and attended school in Fertile, graduating from Fertile High School. She was a homemaker most of her life while helping Gordon on the family farm. She also was a babysitter later in life.

Alice was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Mason City. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, and collecting rolling pins.

Alice is survived by three children, Larry (Regina) Toresdahl of Clear Lake, Todd (Kathy) Toresdahl of Las Vegas and Kristi (John) Berding of Mason City; four grandchildren, Gerilynn (Vanya) Kozlovskyi of Cedar Falls, Barnes (Emily) Toresdahl of Northwood, Blake (Jessica Rush) Walderbach of Mason City and Reid Walderbach of Mason City; five great-grandchildren, Ivy Toresdahl, Mary Toresdahl, Lily Kozlovskyi, Lev Kozlovskyi and Paizley Walderbach; and four siblings, James Lovick of Forest City, Leo (Marlys) Lovick of Ackley, Elaine Ollenberg of Garner and Doris Bonnsetter of South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children in infancy, Terry and Jean; and seven siblings.
