Clifford Edward Mourlam, 95 of Clear Lake, died Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Pat Hall officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of North Iowa.

Cliff was born October 14, 1920, the son of Charles and Ida (Hilpipre) Mourlam in rural Woolstock, IA. He married Marie Myhre on August 24, 1953, in Nevada, IA.

Cliff grew up and attended school in rural Woolstock. He worked with his father on the family farm, before working for State Brand Creamery in Mason City. He enjoyed music and ballroom dancing; especially getting to know the many bands that played at the Surf Ballroom.

Cliff is survived by three nephews, Michael (Bev Roback) Anderson of St. Louis Park, MN, Jerry (Mary) Claude of Chandler, AZ, and Larry (Dorene) Wilson of Great Falls, MT. He will be missed by his dancing family and many friends and neighbors throughout the Clear Lake and Mason City area.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; five sisters; and a brother.

A special thanks to friend, Darla Kibsgaard and neighbors, Ron and Mary Ellen Monson for their care and friendship.
