“Death summoned Thaddeus Sheldon Clark to his last resting place, Sunday February 28. He had been an industrious farmer in this county for a number of years and will be missed by a large circle of friends who have grown to know his true worth. He has numerous friends who will regret to learn of his death.
Thaddeus Sheldon Clark was born August 17, 1840 in New York. He was the son of Mrs. and Mrs. William Clark. The funeral services were held this morning at 10 o’clock from the Steve Hammond home. He is survived by his wife. Rev. F. B. Stafford of the Methodist church will preach the funeral sermon and interment will be made in Clear Lake cemetery.” (Mason City Globe Gazette, March 4, 1915, pg 2)
