“The burial of Mrs. Alfred Davis who passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 7, was held from the home on Sunday afternoon. Hazel Amanda Ebaugh, daughter of Lewis and Hattie Ebaugh was born at Fertile, March 1, 1894 and passed away at her home in Clear Lake on Feb. 7th, 1917, after a few weeks illness. Mrs. Davis was a woman who will be missed by all, especially her husband and small three week’s old baby. The Christian minister and church choir of Fertile performed the burial ceremony at the home.
