Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, IowaMASON CITY -- Helen Nelson Fuller, 90, 1037 19th St., died Thursday (Dec. 23, 1999) at the I.O.O.F. home where she had lived since 1991.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City .
There will be no visitation. Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to KCMR Radio.
Helen Nelson Fuller was born Feb. 20, 1909, in Welcome, Minn., the daughter of Claude and Mabel (Thomas) Holbrook. When she was 3 years old, her family moved to Mason City . Helen graduated from Mason City High School in 1926 and then from Mason City Junior College.
She was employed at Sears and Roebuck in the credit department for many years retiring in 1968.
Helen married Arthur Dunn in 1931. She married Howard Nelson in 1950, He passed away in 1975. In 1979, Helen married Cecil A. Fuller.
Helen had a happy life. She was a member of First Christian Church for more than 75 years where she served as organist and church secretary for many years. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She liked music and writing stories and poetry. Helen was a very giving person and she gave freely to all who knew her, especially children.
She will be greatly missed by her family: her son, David E. Dunn and his wife, Elaine, Mason City; granddaughters, Linda Bork, Elkader, Kathy Kenney and her husband, Doug, Mason City , and Wendy Thompson and her husband, Kyle, Rockford; grandsons, David R. Dunn and his wife, Geri, Mason City, and Michael H. Dunn and his wife, Vicki, Mason City; 12 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Owen Holbrook and his wife, June, McLain, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and two sisters, Ruth Borman and Irene Paulin.
