MADRID -- Lucille M. Frank, 96, of Madrid, formerly of Mason City, died on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at the Madrid Home in Madrid, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at the Madrid Home, 613 West North St. in Madrid, Iowa. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any memorial contributions may be made to the Madrid Home. Lucille was born May 24, 1917, in Sandstone, Minn., the daughter of Einar and Mamie (Fields) Lund. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1935. She was a member of G.G.G. Society, St. Veronica Circle, Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City, Catholic Daughters, Friendship Club and was a volunteer for Mercy Hospital. She resided at Ballard Creek Community from 2004 to 2011, when she moved to Madrid Home.

She enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren, swim exercise classes, needlework and crafts, and playing cards and other games with friends.

She was survived by her children, James Frank (Pat) Reading, Mich., Beverly Angell (Richard) of Hickory, N.C., Kathleen Jones (Steve) of Huxley, Iowa, and Nancy Rathjen (Craig) of Blaine, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; sister, Dolores Palmquist of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jacob; and two sisters and one brother.
