MASON CITY — Doris A. Flores, 80, of Mason City, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Epiphany Parish-St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 5th Street SE, Mason City, with Reverend John Gossman officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street NE, Mason City.

Memorials may be given to Mayo Clinic - Cancer Research, 200 First Street SW, Rochester MN, 55905, and Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Doris Ann Flores was born Feb. 12, 1936, in Swaledale, a daughter of Lloyd and Hattie (Everhart) Stevens.

She was a 1953 graduate of Swaledale High School. After graduating High School, Doris was an Office Services and Personnel Manager for Economy Fire and Casualty for thirty-nine years.

She was a member of Epiphany Parish-St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Highland Ladies Club.

Doris enjoyed bowling and was in the Hall of Fame at Rose Bowl, golfing, playing bridge, reading and watching softball.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Flores; three step-daughters, Sherrie (Richard) Heid, of Lafalma, CA, Connie (Gary) Adams, of Carthage, MO, and Shelia (Kevin) Johnstone, of Beaumont, CA; four step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Hopley, of Belmond, IA, and Deloras Frohling, of Meservey, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Dorothy Walrod; three brothers-in-law, Laurence Walrod, Merle Frohling, and Bill Hopley.
