Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, IowaMASON CITY — Gladys Bartusek Finch, 97,of 302 Second St. N.E., died Saturday (Jan. 10, 2004) at the Good Shepherd Health Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th Street N.W., in Mason City, with the Rev. Sarah Rohret Odoom officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church or Hospice of North Iowa.
Gladys was born July 7, 1906, in Mason City, the daughter of John and Anna (Werner) Bartusek. She lived in Plymouth for a while, then attended school in Mason City. Gladys married Elmer F. Finch, on Aug. 25, 1928, in Mason City.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
Gladys’s family includes, Marlys Bartusek and husband, Robert (deceased), of Nora Springs, and Shirley Suby and husband, Leon, of Mason City; great nieces and nephews, Crystal Suby, Denise Rottinghaus, Scott Suby, and Dennis and David Bartusek; nine great-great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dixie Mennen and Dorothy Rezab.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Finch; brother, Cleo Bartusek; and nephew, Bob Bartusek.
