Mason City, Iowa, August 2. – Oliver Mitchell, a well-known young man of Rockford, Iowa, was killed in a sham battle at that place this afternoon at the Sons of Veterans’ celebration, by one of his comrades and soon afterwards died from his wounds. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Mitchell, old residents of Floyd County.
