MASON CITY — June M. Dorsey, 75, of 501 S. Kentucky Ave., died Thursday (June 15, 2006) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., with the Rev. Jon M. Seda officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today with a scriptural wake service at 5 p.m. followed by a rosary at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City.

Memorials may be directed to the June M. Dorsey Memorial Fund.

June M. Johnson was born on June 23, 1930, in Gilmore City, the daughter of Herman and Agnes (Mosbach) Johnson.

June graduated from Swaledale High School. She was a homemaker raising three children. June went to work for Northwestern States Portland Cement Co. and worked there for 25 years until her retirement.

June loved dancing, traveling, redecorating, entertaining and cooking for family and friends; her greatest love was spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

June is survived by her husband, John Dorsey, Mason City; children, Pamela (Gerald) Lind, Phoenix, Ariz., John (Terri) Carney, Memphis, Tenn., and Gary Carney, Iowa City; grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz., Daniel and Joshua Carney, Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Arthur (Colleen) Johnson, Mason City; and sister, Annabel Patterson, Mason City; along with many nieces and nephews.

June is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Agnes Johnson; and brothers, Harland and Richard Johnson.
