DOUGHERTY -- Johnnie Thomas DeVries, 74, of rural Doughtery, died Friday (Aug. 25, 1995) at home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dumont Reformed Church, with the Rev. Carl Gearhart officiating. Burial will be in Washington Reformed Church Cemetery, rural Ackley.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Dumont.

Johnnie Thomas DeVries was born Dec. 29, 1920 at Ackley, Iowa.

Survivors include three brothers, Henry DeVries of Dougherty, Edwin DeVries of Greene, and Calvin DeVries of Des Moines; and one sister, Ruth Buseman of Parkersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.
