MASON CITY — Angelo “Andy” S. Bottone, 67, of Mason City died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with Pastor Ed Bard, Hospice of North Iowa chaplain, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations and gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Andy was born July 7, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of John and Mary (Hart) Bottone. He spent time in the Marines following his education. He worked for Deckers, Armour Foods, and Pella Windows.

Andy had a passion for his family, his car collection over the years, especially his truck, and enjoyed spending his free time at casinos. He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.

Andy is survived by his children, Jon Bottone of Jacksonville, Fla., Tammie (James) Voortmann of Clear Lake, and Brian Richardson of Leland; grandchildren, Tara Bowers, Tiffany Sullins, Josh and Jordan Banks, Rachael Bottone and Jon Bottone Jr.; great grandchildren, Alysha Dorsey, Dakota Richardson and Taelynn Sue Lori Banks; stepchildren, Carrie (Doug) Peck and Chad McBride and special friend, Stacy; Travis (Tamara) McBride, Jason (Crystal) McBride, Leslie (Chad) Lybarger and Justin (Hitomi) McBride; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; brother, Joe Bottone; and daughter, Lori Banks.
