MASON CITY -- Roy M. Bilyeu, 70, of 321 Fourth St. N.E., Apt.#705, died Thursday (Nov. 16, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia Ave., with the Rev. Herbert G. Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood- St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., and one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.

Roy M. Bilyeu was born June 17, 1925 in Woden, son of Josiah and Karen (Hanna) Bilyeu.

He married Norma Hillesland on Feb. 4, 1950 in Forest City.

Roy grew up in Woden and farmed in the Woden area until 1958 when he and his family moved to Mason City.

He worked at Ward's Farm Store and Massey-Fergerson and then was self-employed operating Mason City Silo Repair Company. He retired in 1988.

Roy enjoyed traveling and visiting his grandchildren.

He was a member of Gideon International and was active in First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Bilyeu of Mason City; two daughters, Wanda Jimenez and her husband, Bill, of Ravenna, Neb., and Beth Hesse of Clear Lake; two sons, Larry Bilyeu and his wife, Crystal of Hurricane, Utah, and Gary Bilyeu and his wife, Lonnie of Nevada; 18 grandchildren; one brother, Merle Bilyeu and his wife, Adelia, of Woden; and one sister, Elna Harms of Forest City.
