MASON CITY -- Marlin Burrier, 55, of Mason City, passed away Sunday June 21, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, (June 26, 2015) at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd St. N.E., Mason City, with Rev. Robert Harting officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, (June 25, 2015) at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd St. N.E., Mason City.

Memorial contributions may be left in Marlin's memory in care of his family.

Marlin Burrier was born October 21, 1959 in Mason City, son of Richard and Junette (Gentz) Burrier. He graduated from Mason City High School class of 1978.

Throughout the years Marlin had worked for KRIB, KLMJ in Hampton, Iowa for 17 years.

Marlin enjoyed being a DJ over the years, fixing computers and watching MASH.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Junette Burrier; 2 brothers, Gary and Daryl Burrier; Sister, Cathy (Jim) Dodge; nephews, Justin (Callie) Dodge, and Jeremy Dodge; niece, Clarissa (Josh) Krominga; great nephews, Jaspen, Kenyon, Caden Dodge and Jacob Krominga; Great nieces, Kazmarie Dodge, Caitlynn Krominga; special friend, Colleen Winter; Aunt, Violet (Roger) Baldwin; Uncle, Roger Gentz; and many family and friends.

Marlin was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Gertie Burrier, Roy and Caroline Gentz; aunts, Viola Samuelson, Eloise Gentz and Delores Hamer.
