MASON CITY — Carl E. Bergdale, 50, of 714 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Apt #3, Mason City, died Wednesday (May 31, 2006) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2006, at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, with Major Chuck Wright, Salvation Army. Inurnment will in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be one hour prior the service at the funeral home.

Carl was born on May 11, 1956, at Mason City, a son of Carsten Bergdale and Izetta (Enabnit) Fisher. Carl attended Mason City schools. Carl was a hard worker. He worked in Mason City at Kraft, Wellborn Industries, N.I.V.C., and most recently Federal Upholstery. He enjoyed spending time with his family and partying with his friends.

Carl leaves behind his loving mother, Izetta Fisher, Mason City; a wonderful daughter and only grandson, Carrie Griffen and Carl Bergdale-Griffen Jr., Pillager, Minn.; four sisters: Rose Bergdale and husband, John, Rheingans, Mason City, Susan Bergdale-Teeter, Mason City, Penny Alden and husband, Michael, Manly, and Robin Bergdale-Beck and husband, Richard, Manly; nieces and nephews, Anthony Gilbert, Michael and Ole Odom, Shelly Abshire, Annette Runk, James Bergdale, Clarence Van Dyke, Ruperto and Dustin Calaway, Kassie Blackman, Olivia Alden, Jennifer Coronado, Amber Stevens, Sebastian and Gabrielle Beck; many great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friend, Bonnie Pattshull, and girlfriend, Diane Christianson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carsten; brothers, Carsten Jr. and Warren Bergdale; and twin sister, Carla Van Dyke.
