August 19, 2012Robert "Bob" Lorn Bohn, 88, of Mason City died Friday, August 17, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa surrounded by his close friends.
A funeral service for Bob will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City with the Reverend Mark Lavrenz officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be designated to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 419 N. Delaware, Mason City, Iowa.
Robert Lorn Bohn, son of Julius and Augusta Jass Bohn was born March 24, 1924 in Grant Township, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1943. Bob farmed all of his life and worked at the Sugar Beet, Brick and Tile, and retired from Curries Manufacturing in 1990.
He enjoyed making bird houses and was an avid gardener. He loved to help his friends whenever he was able.
Bob is a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mason City and was an active volunteer at the church.
He is survived by his friends, Emma Mostrom, Mason City, Cindy (Richard) Lang, Clive, IA and Mark (Cindy) Mostrom, Mason City and their families.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wilma Bohn Eygabroad.
