Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, IowaMASON CITY — Gladys M. Espinosa, 96, of Mason City, Iowa, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Health Center.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Epiphany Parish Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams, with the Rev. Andrew A-Mensah officiating.
Interment will take place in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm. with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave.

Gladys was born Aug. 11, 1920, in Manchester, SD, the daughter of Elmer and Hilda (Eggers) Wynn. She attended school in Mason City.
On July 29, 1940, Gladys married Lawrence Espinosa at Holy Family Catholic Church.
She was a loving, caring and passionate homemaker. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed babysitting, shopping, fishing up north, going for walks, relaxing, coffee and going out to eat.
She was a member of Epiphany Parish Holy Family Catholic Church where she belonged to church circle (St. Madonna). She was also a member of the Grandmothers Club.
Gladys is survived by her husband of 76 years: Lawrence Espinosa of Mason City; 4 children: Larry Espinosa and wife Roxie of Mason City, Veronica James and husband Arlyn of Mason City, JoAnn Liekweg and husband Dalvin of Mason City, and Cindy Ewy and husband Mark of Mason City; 9 grandchildren: Dawn Collins and husband Chad, Laurie Stevenson and husband Brian, Lisa Foster and husband Steve, Tanya Liekweg, Misti Steichen and husband Johnny, Scott Espinosa, Jason James and wife Bobbie, Emily Ewy and Erin Ewy; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 sister: Loreen Youngren of St. Paul, MN; and 3 sisters-in-law: Mavis Espinosa and Susan Rubalcava, both of Mason City, and Irene Wynn of St. Paul. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 3 brothers: Harvey, Marvin and LaVern Wynn.
