Marilyn J. Ellingson, 60, of 1309 Eighth St. S.E., died Friday (Aug. 25, 1995) at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 8 tonight at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and also at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be given to the Marilyn J. Ellingson Memorial Fund.

Marilyn J. Ellingson was born May 28, 1935 in Mason City, the daughter of Leonard Tosel and Arlene (nee) Keegan Tosel. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1953, then attended St. Mary's Nursing College in Rochester.

She married Claire Ellingson July 25, 1956 at Moline, Ill. Marilyn worked at North Iowa Mercy Health Center as an L.P.N. for 22 years.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, enjoyed traveling and cross-stitching. As a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be missed by everyone.

Survivors include her husband, Claire Ellingson of Mason City; three daughters, Cindy and husband, Lynn Christensen of Mason City, Teri and husband, Kenneth Block of Cedar Rapids, Jody Eggman of Mason City; one son, Scott and wife, Carol Ellingson, of Des Moines; grandson, Timothy Eggman of Mason City; granddaughters, Jonna Block of Cedar Rapids, Jessica Zupan of Des Moines; mother, Arlene Tosel of Mason City; sister, Joyce Johnson of Mason City; brother, Michael Tosel of Mason City; mother-in-law, Myrtle Lamb of Mason City; brother and sister-in-law, Merle and Hazel Ellingson of Mason City; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.
