Eugene Douglas (Doug) Ebeling, 78, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 in Phoenix, AZ.

Memorial mass will be 10:30a.m. Friday Dec. 4, 2009 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake, Iowa with Msgr. Joseph Slepicka officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Military honors will be by the Clear Lake V.F.W. Family suggests memorials to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, Attn: Gift Processing, Hospice of North Iowa or the Christmas Cheer Fund. [Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City.]

Doug was born June 19, 1931 in Mason City, Iowa the son of Fred and Evelyn (Thompson) Ebeling.

He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Mason City in 1950 and continued his education at N.I.A.C.C., Hamilton Business College and Loras. After college he served in the United State Army.

After the service he moved to Phoenix and worked in finance, until he retired due to ill health.

Following his retirement he enjoyed spending his summers in Clear Lake, Iowa and helping his parents. He enjoyed cooking.

Doug is survived his three siblings; Gary Ebeling and his wife Alice, Clear Lake, Iowa, Jane Ebeling, Hudson, Wisconsin and Tom Ebeling and his wife Toni, Clear Lake, Iowa; his nieces and nephews Sheree Eischen and her husband Richard, Lori Funk and her husband Bill, Lisa Bennett and her husband Chris, Sandy Ebeling and Brian Johnson, David Ebeling, Michael Ebeling and his wife Moira, Laura Paulisich, Ann Paulisich, Paul Paulisich and his wife Michelle, Peter Ebeling and his wife Julie, Paul Ebeling and his wife Wendy and Mark Ebeling and his wife Kristin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
