Ethel M. Luker, 83, of 1623 S. Carolina Ave., Mason City, died Saturday (Dec. 23, 1995) at the Good Shepherd Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 419 N. Delaware Ave., with the Rev. Frederick Wood officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in memory of Ethel M. Luker.

Ethel M. Luker was born May 28, 1912, in rural Milford, a daughter of Jeddie and Margaret (Lambertus) Stinehart.

She married Arnold Luker on Dec. 28, 1941, in Mason City.

Ethel grew up and attended school near Milford. Her family moved to Mason City in 1928.

She was a homemaker and did day work for many people. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a very caring and loving person to her family and friends.

Ethel was a 75-year member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a member of the Altar Guild.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold Luker of Mason City; two sons, Leland Ames and his wife, Audrey, of Bedford, Ind., and Norm Luker and his wife, Twila, of Mason City; five grandchildren, Cory Ames of Wichita, Kan., Jeffrey Ames of Bedford, Ind., Lorri Caster of Des Moines, Deanna Loeschen of Woden and Scott Palmer of Fort Campbell, Ky; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orville Stinehart and his wife, Dolores, of Clear Lake, and Alfred Stinehart and his wife, Opal, of Mason City; three sisters, June Stinehart of Mason City, Lea Morische and her husband, Gene, of Nora Springs, and Betty Schulte and her husband, Robert, of West Des Moines; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Barnhill.
