Marvin L. "Flick" Faktor, 79, of 13990 170th St., rural Rockwell, died Tuesday (Sept. 17, 1996) at his son's home, 45 Mission Drive, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Herbert Shafer of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Bohemian Cemetery, Plymouth.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home and until time of service on Friday.

Memorials may be given to the Marvin L. Faktor Memorial Fund.

Marvin L. Faktor was born March 30, 1917, in Plymouth, the son of Lou and Rose (Cinkle) Faktor.

Marvin attended schools in Plymouth. He farmed in the Plymouth area until 1956, then operated a blacksmith shop in Plymouth until the mid-1960s. Marvin then became a millwright and worked for numerous companies retiring in 1979.

He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Survivors include two sons, Gary D. Faktor and his wife, Jan, of Mason City, and Bob Faktor and his wife, Kathy, of Thornton; five grandchildren, Lisa Henschen and her husband, Rick; Doug Faktor and his wife, Karen; Jeremy Faktor; Bob D. Faktor and Robin Faktor; one sister, Juanita Cole of Clear Lake; one brother, LaVerne "Bud" Faktor and his wife, Virginia, of Plymouth; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peg, in 1983; one brother, Leland Faktor in 1942; and one niece, Connie Smidt.
