April 03, 1996Douglas E. Fisher, 34, of 5253 S. Shore Drive, Clear Lake, died Saturday (March 30, 1996) at his home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Belvidere Funeral Home, Belvidere, Ill., with the Rev. Eugene Wille of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be at the Belvidere Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E., Mason City, and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday in Belvidere, Ill.
Doug was born on Feb. 2, 1962, in Mason City, the son of Donald D. and Joyce (Keeney) Fisher. He was a graduate of Belvidere High School.
He has been a resident of Clear Lake for the past eight years and was employed in the maintenance department of the Clear Lake Bakery.
He was an avid cartoonist and loved drawing and collecting bald eagle statues as a hobby. He also was interested in wood working projects.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, Ill.
Survivors include his parents, Donald and Joyce Fisher; one brother, Jeffrey Fisher; one sister, Karla K. Hart; his grandmother, Marie Fisher of the IOOF Home in Mason City; nephews, Dustin Fisher and Jeffery and Shawn Hart, all of Belvidere, Ill.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Pearl Keeney; and his paternal grandfather, Dave Fisher.
