W.H. Hodson rites to be Wednesday

Requiem high Mass will be celebrated for William H. Hodson, 84, retired farmer, at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Swaledale. Father Raymond S. Bohrer will be celebrant.

Mr. Hodson died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl Leinhaas, Swaledale, where he had been living. He was a longtime resident of the Swaledale community.

Mr. Hodson was born Aug. 18, 1879, in Illinois, son of William and Elizabeth (Arnitt) Hodson. He was married to Margaret Mulligan, Nov. 29 1905, at Rockwell.

Surviving besides the daughter and a son, J.F. (Francis) Hodson, Santa Ana, Calif.; two grandsons John and Timothy Hodson, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Max (Nancy) Wood, all of Santa Ana, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, May 14, 1955, and by two sons, Earl and Robert.

He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Swaledale.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Patterson-James-Murphy Chapel at Rockwell. The Rosary was scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell.
