Wednesday, November 13, 1963Elizabeth Hardman dies at 77
Elizabeth Hardman, 77, Rockwell, widow of Ralph D. Hardman, died Wednesday morning in a Mason City hospital. She had lived in Rockwell more than 70 years.
Mrs. Hardman was born Feb. 1, 1886, daughter of John and Anna (Gorman) McGaheran. She was married to Ralph D. Hardman, June 8, 1910, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold A. (Evelyn) Brown, Des Moines; four grandsons, Donald L. Brown, Duluth, Minn.; Robert Terry Brown, Des Moines; Thomas A. Brown, student, Paris, France; and David H. Brown, Des Moines, and a great granddaughter, Linda Ann Brown, Duluth, Minn.
Two brothers, Henry B. and J. B. McGaheran, and a sister, Regina McGaheran, all of Rockwell, also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1943 and by three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Hardman was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell. Father Raymond S. Bohrer will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Patterson-James-Murphy Chapel in Rockwell. Visitation at the chapel will be from 4 p.m. Thursday until the time of services.
