Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, IowaMartin Curley dies suddenly at his home
Martin F. Curley, 36, 1212 Rhode Island SE, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home.
Mr. Curley, foreman for Henkel Construction Co., for whom he had worked 10 years, moved to Mason City in 1959 from Rockwell. He was born Jan. 22, 1927 at Rockwell to Michael and Luella Johnson Curley.
He was married to Opal Crawford, Aug. 1, 1943, in Mason City.
He is survived by his wife, Opal; his parents; two brothers, Robert and Joseph Curley of Rockwell; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Clausen, Mason City; Mrs. Harold (Patricia) Lambert, Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Peter (Marceille) Freund, Rockwell; and his maternal grandfather, William H. Johnson of Rockwell.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Mr. Curley was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the VFW, San Juan Marne Post 733 in MasonCity and of the Kooties, a branch of the VFW.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Patterson-James Chapel in Mason City. Father Raymond S. Bohrer, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic CHurch, Rockwell, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Rockwell.
The Rosary was scheduled at 8 p.m. Monday at the Mason City chapel. Military rites will be conducted by Gallaher Post 208 of the American Legon, Rockwell, at the graveside.
