DONALD L. DAVISSON
CLEAR LAKE – Donald L. Davisson, 76, of 1410 S. Second St., died Thursday (Aug. 24, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City, of heart failure. A private family graveside service will be held with the Rev. David Van Wingerden of Evangelical Free Church officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Dunn’s Funeral Home, Des Moines, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Opportunity Village, P.O. Box 5, Clear Lake, Iowa 50428.
Donald L. Davisson was born in Glendive, Mont. He lived in Washington prior to moving to Clear Lake, where he was a resident for three years. He was employed as a Survey Party Chief for Los Angeles County Flood Control District, retiring in 1976. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Davisson was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Clear Lake, Odd fellows Lodge, and was a volunteer and fund raiser for the mentally retarded. Survivors include his wife, Fayrean Davisson of Clear Lake; one son, Steven Paul Davisson of Opportunity Village, Clear Lake; one daughter, Sallie Davisson of Porterville, Calif.; two grandchildren, Steven James Davisson and Vanessa Davisson, both of Porterville, Calif.; one sister, Audrey Anderson of Spokane, Wash.; and many cousins in Iowa.
