MARILYN DREW

Mrs. Marilyn Janet Drew, 68, of 1305 2nd Avenue South, Clear Lake, Iowa died Monday, May 4, 1992 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa.

Services are set for today, Wednesday, May 6, 1992, 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Clear Lake with the Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery in Clear Lake. Visitation was after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel in Clear Lake and one hour prior to services at the church today.

She was born June 20, 1923 in Clear Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Bernice (Dutro) Lane. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1942 and was Clear Lake’s Homecoming Queen that year. She worked for Western Union in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

She married Charles E. Drew on Aug. 3, 1946 in Clear Lake, Iowa and worked at Price Motors in Mason City from 1966 to 1989 as their bookkeeper.

Mrs. Drew was a member of the First Congregational Church in Clear Lake and the Clear Lake V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She is survived by her mother, Bernice Lane, of Clear Lake; sons, Jim Drew, of Clear Lake; Woody Drew and his wife Julie, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Roland Drew, of Clear Lake; daughter, Lesley, and her husband, Evan Nolte, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; brothers, James, and his wife, Jane Lane, of Mesa, Ariz., and Rance and his wife, Katie Lane, of Clear Lake; sister-in-law, Kathryn Lane, of Clear Lake; and seven grandchildren, Ryan Nolte, Mike Nolte, James Nolte, John Nolte, Mindy Drew, Megan Drew and Becky Christinsen. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, twin brother, Donald Lane, and her son, Jon Drew.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Marilyn J. Drew Memorial Fund.
