LINDA HERREMAN

Linda Herreman, 88, died Saturday, Oct. 21, at a Mason City hospital. She had resided at Oakwood Manor and until two years ago had lived at 210 S. 3rd St., Clear Lake.

Miss Herreman was the daughter of Warren and Dora Herreman, born Nov. 11, 1889 in Lincoln township. She lived with her parents on the farm until 1919, when they moved to Clear Lake. She attended country school and Memorial University and Hamilton Business College in Mason City.

Miss Herreman will be remembered as the first woman driver in Cerro Gordo county. She was a charter member of Wan Tan Ye and had been employed as a secretary in the Cerro Gordo County engineer’s office.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel. Rev. Wayne Carlson will preside. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at the Clear Lake Cemetery.

She is survived by one brother, Roscoe Herreman of Ft. Worth, Tex.; a niece, Helen Dennett of Downer’s Grove, Ill.; and two nephews, Ronald B. Williams Jr. of Downer’s Grove, Ill. and W. Robert Williams, of Omaha. Neb.
