FAY W. MASON DIES SUDDENLY
HEART ATTACK FATAL TO CLEAR LAKE RESIDENT

CLEAR LAKE – Fay W. Mason, 72, died suddenly at his home, 505 S. 4th street, shortly after noon Friday of a heart attack. Mr. Mason went hunting in the morning but became ill and stopped at the home of friends who brought him back to town as soon as he was able. He died not long after his arrival.

Mr. Mason was born June 4, 1872, at Maple Park, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Mason. When 4 years of age, he moved with the family to Sheffield, where he grew to manhood, engaging in farming.

March 20, 1917, he was married to Hattie Whiteis of Clear Lake who survives. They had no children. They lived on a farm near Clear Lake several years before retiring and moving to town.

Mr. Mason is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Fannie Harlan, Bristow, and a brother, Ernest Mason, Long Beach, Cal.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. A short prayer service will be held at the home just preceding. The Rev. Warner M. Hubbard, pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery. Williams funeral home is in charge.
