LILLIAN E. HENRIKSEN

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Hans (Lillian E.) Henriksen, 80, of 509 S. Shore Drive, Clear Lake, died Friday (Dec. 9, 1983).

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Keith Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel in Clear Lake until the service. The family requests memorials be given to the Lillian Henriksen Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Henriksen was born Dec. 27, 1902, northwest of Clear Lake to Anton and Minnie (Nielsen) Christiansen. She attended rural school in Grant Township.

She married Hans Henriksen on Feb. 18, 1925, at Clear Lake. They lived on farms in the Clear Lake area, moving into Clear Lake nine years ago.

Mrs. Henriksen was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, where she was involved in the ZLCW, ladies circle, and served as a Deaconness board member for several years.

She was secretary and treasurer of Independent Grant School 6 in Cerro Gordo County, member of the Home Improvement Club, the Library Reading Club and the Clear Lake Women’s Club.

Mrs. Henriksen is survived by her husband, Hans, Clear Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon (Donna Rae) Skovgaard, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Ronald H., South Milwaukee, Wis., and the Rev. Veryle J., Fergus Falls, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Long, Algona; Mrs. Emma Tantow, Mrs. Carrie Conibear and Mrs. Doris Solberg, all of Clear Lake; three brothers, Henry Christiansen, Forest City, and Paul and Floyd Christiansen, both of Clear Lake; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
