PLAN RITES FOR MRS. MCCABE
FUNERAL SATURDAY AT 9, ST. PATRICK’S

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Terrence McCabe, 86, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.D. Richardson, with whom she had made her home the past 20 years, Wednesday evening after an illness of several months.

Requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 with the Rev. J.J. Buzynski celebrant. Burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery. Ward’s funeral home is in charge. The rosary will be said at the Richardson home Friday evening at 8.

Mrs. McCabe was born Bridget Joan McCafferty, daughter of Charles and Rose McCafferty, Aug. 16, 1864. At the age of 5 she came to America with the family and settled at Geneseo, Ill.

March 28, 1894, she was married to Mr. McCabe in Illinois. They came to Iowa in 1901 and had lived in this vicinity since. Mrs. McCabe was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church and was active in its work as long as she was able.

Besides Mrs. Richardson, Mrs. McCabe is survived by 3 other daughters, Mrs. F.R. Barlow, Clear Lake; Mrs. J.C. McGuire, Mason City, and Mrs. George Hegstrom, Portland, Ore.; a son, Terrance McCabe, West Liberty; a sister, Mrs. Maggie Robbins, Kewanee, Ill., 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McCabe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died May 29, 1930, two brothers and 4 sisters.
