TERRY LEE 'TRAMP' MCGOWAN

MASON CITY - Terry Lee "Tramp" McGowan, 46, died Thursday (July 5, 2001) as a result of a motorcycle accident.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third Street N.E., Mason City. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Ionia.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service time Monday at the chapel.

Terry Lee "Tramp" McGowan was born May 28, 1955, in Mason City, the son of Jack McGowan and Jean (Marion) Peters. He was baptized and received his first communion at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. He received his education in the Mason City school system, graduating from Mason City High School in 1974.

After completing his schooling, he worked for Winnebago Industries in Forest City and for the past 26 years he worked for IMI Cornelius Mfg. Company in Mason City until the time of his death.

He loved and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

He was a member of the ABATE of Iowa District 7 of North Iowa, which is dedicated to freedom of the road.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Jean Peters of Ionia; a brother, Patrick McGowan of Mason City; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Jack McGowan; one brother, Michael McGowan; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
