HENRY LUKER DIES SUDDENLY
FUNERAL AT MASON CITY FRIDAY AT 2

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Henry Luker, 69 who died suddenly at his home east of Clear Lake on highway 106 Tuesday evening of a heart attack, will be held Friday at 2 o’clock at the Bethlehem Lutheran church in Mason City.

The Rev. C. A. Hinz, pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery. A prayer service will be held at the home at 1:15. Ward’s funeral home is in charge.

Mr. Luker, who had been ill a year, was born Sept. 21, 1880, at Council Bluffs and moved, when a child, with his parents to Lane, S. Dak.

On Jan. 25, 1911, he was married to Miss Magdelena Froehlich at Martensburg, Nebr. They lived a year at Grey, S. Dak., before moving to Princeton, Mill., where they farmed 15 years before moving to a farm in Hancock county in 1927. They moved to Clear Lake in 1931. Mrs. Luker died July 15, 1944. Since then Mr. Luker had lived with his children.

He is survived by 7 children, Miss Esther Luker, at home; Fred and Gilbert Luker, Clear Lake; Adolph and Arnold Luker and Mrs. Roger Hill, Mason City, and Mrs. Harold Hall, Garner; 10 grandchildren, a brother, Gotlieb Luker, Red Wing, Minn.; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Feistner, Lane, S. Dak., and Mrs. Clara Hirchet, Seneca, S. Dak.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Mr. Luker was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church of Mason City.
