CLEAR LAKE – Duane F. Walls, 22, died Sunday evening at a Mason City hospital, where he had been taken Saturday. He had been in poor health for the past year.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Walls, Route 2, and two grandmothers, Mrs. Frank Daker and Mrs. I.L.Walls.

He was born Aug. 4, 1935, on a farm south of Clear Lake, the son of Russell and Vivian Walls. He attended Clear Lake schools and was graduated in 1954. Since that time he has been associated with his father in farming. He also attended Iowa State College for part of a year. He was a member of the Methodist Church, FFA, and Lake Ambitious Feeders 4-H Club.

His brother, Robert Russell, 3, and two grandfathers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.at the Methodist Church. Dr. John DeLong will officiate and burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward's Funeral Home is in charge.
