MRS. RUTH E. DAY

VENTURA – Mrs. Ruth E. Day, 79, of 15 Marflow Street, Ventura, died Wednesday (June 30, 1993) at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, following an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Congregational Church, 205 W. Tenth Avenue North, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will begin after 5:30 p.m. Monday at ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 North Fourth St., Clear Lake.

Family suggests memorials to First Congregational Church, Clear Lake.

Ruth E. Day was born March 28, 1914 in Clear Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Dorance S. Day, Ventura; one son, Gary Day of Mason City; one brother, Peter O. Petersen, Clear Lake; two grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, three nephews and two nieces.
