MARTIN ANDERSEN

Funeral services were held Jan. 16, for Martin C. Andersen, 72, at Zion Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Murley Severtson officiated.

Torger Froiland was soloist accompanied by Mrs. A.E. Folkmann at the organ. Pallbearers were Edwin Estergard, Charles Jorgensen, Russell Walls, Gary Zobel, Allen Wille and Kenneth Mortenson. Burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Martin C. Andersen was born Oct. 9, 1902 in Denmark, the son of Carl and Karen Andersen. He received his education in Denmark before coming to the United States and to Clear Lake in 1923.

Mr. Andersen was a paint contractor for many years.

He was married to Ruth Rasmussen on May 18, 1940 at Mason City. hey have always made their home in Clear Lake. He retired because of ill health in 1967.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one sister, Mrs. Walter (Kirstine) Sorensen, Clear Lake, several nieces and nephews.
